Dry Rot In Buildings

At Miller Preservation we fully understand the importance of accurate identification of the nature of any fungal attack on your property. This applies particularly the the identification of dry rot (Serpula lacrymans). Dry rot is a major building rot fungi with a number of adaptations which can make it problematic if not correctly dealt with. It is therefore crucial to correctly identify dry rot as mis-diagnosis could lead to under specification and therefore likely recurrence of the outbreak. Falsely identifying a wet rot outbreak as dry rot is no less serious as this could led to the cost of the work being far greater with significantly more disruption and potentially cost.
